ELL Translation page on tdsb website, Chunking the Passport project, Welcome Cards due on Friday, completing outstanding Homework & Progress Reports

Alison Dyson, our English Language Learner instructor at AMG, directed the teachers to this site set up by the Toronto District School Board:

The project due date for Geography is still two weeks away.  In class, I will provide you with some time to organize yourself and ask any questions you might have.  I know it may seem like a lot of information, but if we take it one step at a time, it does not become as overwhelming.

I am proud of the Grade 7s who have putting in a lot of thought, care, and effort into the card making for our new arrivals from Syria.

As a teacher of Geography, Math, and Language, I am very flexible and supportive of the time students may need to complete assignments.  Ultimately, though, it is up to the student to complete the work.  I am available for support and coaching, but the completion of the work rests with the student.  On the upcoming Progress Report, a student may receive a Progressing with Difficulty if insufficient work has been handed in.  The Homework chart, in Room 52, is for the students to check their work and ensure they are on top of everything they need to do.
