The morning was heavy with rotary subjects (Music, Gym and French Culture) but we spent a fair bit of time reviewing for tomorrow's Math test and working on our Language/Art project.

The Math activity looked like this:
 Like the example, I did, the students had to construct shapes and write the number in standard form (a decimal had to be included).
Students used Base 10 materials to create numbers, with decimals, to the thousandths place value.
A chart paper with the items the students will be tested on is posted in the class.  I walked through the list with the class and asked them questions about the items.  I also allowed them to ask questions about things listed that they may not have understood:



The Art exercise will take on more form tomorrow (and I will post some pictures) when we begin painting.  Here is a sample I am working on:
The background canvas will be painted with water colours.
HOMEWORK:
- Read 15 minutes
- Math Test on Thursday afternoon
- $.50 for Movember fundraiding
- Interview for Parent Teacher conferences are due on Thursday
