Many of the students have completed or in the closing stages of the Art&Writing project.  Here are a few examples of the work that has been completed and now posted at the back of the classroom:

More postings to come, once the others have completed their work.

The Math test on decimals happened yesterday and will be marked this weekend.  The option to do Rewrites, if there are any failing grades, is always an option.

Because the unit on decimals relates to the next unit on Measurement, we have already started talking about it in the form of playing online games.  In Library, the students had to play three games and record, in a chart, what they learned from playing.  The writing part only had to be in jot note form and I was only looking for them to do, at least, one entry.

Before going to the Library, on Thursday we reviewed some of the websites on the Promethean Board:

The Measurement unit is being explored by looking at different units.  I may have posted this already but here is a large chart with the different units we will be looking at.

We will be exploring some of these units with activities in the classroom and outside of the room (running, walking...).  I introduced them to the metre unit and how it relates, in size to the decimetre, centimetre, millimetre.  Each unit shift up or down the chart involves moving the decimal to the left or right (getting larger or smaller).  This may sound a bit confusing but we will break it down as we move along.

There is no homework this weekend aside from the requirement 15 minutes per day.  That would total 45 minutes over the whole weekend.
