This will be a short entry.

Parent Teacher interviews will be taking place on the evening of November 15 and the morning of November 16 (Thursday and Friday).  Details about the time slots were sent home on notes today.  I am also leaving Tuesday, November 13th from 3:30-5:00 as a possible time slot for Parents or Guardians.

In Science, we have been using some videos to supplement our learning.  While viewing different items, I stop the video to have the students add to the KWL (look at one of the older posts... simply what we know, want to know, and learn about a particular subject) chart they have been developing.

In Art and Writing, we have been working on developing the collage of a simple sentence and a compound sentence.  Here are a few items from around the room I will add a caption to:

2 simple sentences + conjunction = compound sentence

A simple sentence modified into a compound sentence with the use of or as a conjunction.

We did not use the Base 10 Material to build and review for the Math test but did a number line exercise in class to demonstrate the tenths, hundredths, and thousandths on the place value chart.

 As we move into our unit on Measurement, we will be returning to some of these concepts on place value.
