I was absent for half a day today attending a workshop on the upcoming Strength Based Resilence project for Room 52.  When I returned to class, I explained the purpose of the workshop by using this simple diagram:

Knowing your Character Strengths = helping you cope with life's challenges
As the Parent teacher conferences approach for the 1st term report (evening of February 16th and morning of February 17th), I will share more information with you about the project.  As I write this, I will be receiving more details about how the project works. 

The balance of the afternoon was spent talking a little bit about yesterday's trip when we did our Community Circle, which is now being characterized by the stool at the front of the room, where the students sit and talk.
The questions for today were:

A review will take place tomorrow on the multiplying and adding in the context of the problem solving Math test from last week.  A similar test will be done and I will use the results of both in putting together my marks for the the Patterning strand of Mathematics.
