I often wondered if this blog would suffer the same fate that so many others have. Given how much thought and effort went into creating these posts, I did not want to let this blog float in cyberspace signaling a certain death because I am very much alive and full of ideas and life.
On my wall is a piece of chart paper from my last class activity that I can remember before I began thinking about retiring. It characterizes my 26.5 years in this profession from Occasional Teaching in September, 1995 to my final Grade 8 homeroom in February, 2022:
Currently, I am in a contract role at the University of Toronto Scarborough, supporting the development of a resource hub for the Campus Curriculum Review. I hurdled over the Grade 9 through 12 panels to a role involving research, consulting, writing, and web designing. It has been an incredible learning experience.
I look forward to reflecting on this experience in the near future.
